Friends of Hardie Park in Stanford-le-hope have planned a weekend of Christmas cheer for the local community. A marquee will be erected in the park to allow an indoor cinema experience and a Christmas Market. The fun starts on Friday 30th November with two evening indoor screenings of the family Christmas film ‘Elf’.
Rob Groves, CEO of the park said, ‘Be quick to book your spot if you are interested. The uptake has been amazing for the initial 5.30pm screening so we’ve added a 7.45pm performance too. Tickets can be reserved online for £8.50/£9.00 including popcorn. Feel free to dress up if you want to immerse yourself in all things Christmas and don’t forget to bring a chair!’
The weekend event continues over the Saturday and Sunday with a ‘Winter Wonderland’ Christmas Market and Santa in the Woods on 1st and 2nd of December. Local craft, gifts and produce will be on offer from 11am to 4pm. Entrance to the general event is free with Santa visits £3 per child. Santa’s Grotto tickets are now on sale in the cafe.’
Walking to the event is advised however for the Christmas Market only on 1st and 2nd we have arranged FREE parking between 11am and 4pm at Hassenbrook Academy. Access to the main car park is via the entrance in Hassenbrook Road, Stanford-le-Hope SS170NS. It’s a short walk to the park.
